Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Dropbox, TimeCamp, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Dropbox and TimeCamp integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Dropbox and TimeCamp (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Dropbox and TimeCamp

Dropbox + TimeCamp + Slack: When a new file is added to a specified folder in Dropbox, a corresponding task is created in TimeCamp to track the work associated with that file. A notification is then sent to a designated Slack channel informing the team about the new task and its associated file.

TimeCamp + Dropbox + Google Sheets: When a new time entry is created in TimeCamp, specifically related to a Dropbox project, the details of the time entry are automatically logged into a Google Sheets spreadsheet for reporting and analysis. This allows for tracking time spent on Dropbox-related tasks.
