Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Figma, OpenAI DALL-E, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Figma and OpenAI DALL-E integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Figma and OpenAI DALL-E (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Figma and OpenAI DALL-E

Figma + OpenAI DALL-E + Slack: When a new comment is posted on a Figma design, the workflow triggers an AI image generation using DALL-E based on the comment's content. The generated image is then posted as a message to a designated Slack channel for feedback.

OpenAI DALL-E + Figma + Google Drive: When an AI image is generated from DALL-E (simulated by a trigger), it is automatically added to a specified Figma file as a new layer or component. The updated Figma file is then saved to a designated Google Drive folder for backup and sharing.
