Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Ghost, Jira, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Ghost and Jira integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Ghost and Jira (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Ghost and Jira

Ghost + Jira + Slack: When a new post is published in Ghost, a new issue is created in Jira to track social media promotion tasks. Once the Jira issue is created, a message is sent to a Slack channel to notify the marketing team.

Jira + Ghost + Google Sheets: When a Jira issue is updated, this automation checks if the issue is related to a Ghost blog post. It then updates a Google Sheet with the completion status and other relevant issue data.
