Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Gmail, FreshBooks, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Gmail and FreshBooks integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Gmail and FreshBooks (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Gmail and FreshBooks

FreshBooks + Slack + Gmail: When a new invoice is created in FreshBooks, a notification is sent to a Slack channel. Additionally, a summary of the new invoice is sent to a specified Gmail address.

FreshBooks + Google Sheets + Gmail: When an invoice in FreshBooks is paid (this trigger is not available, but assuming it would exist), the invoice details are logged in a Google Sheet. A summary email containing the updated sheet information is then sent via Gmail.
