Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring GoCanvas, YouTube, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the GoCanvas and YouTube integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between GoCanvas and YouTube (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect GoCanvas and YouTube

GoCanvas + Google Sheets + YouTube: When a new submission is added to GoCanvas after a field inspection, the submission data is added to a Google Sheet. Then, the automation finds videos on YouTube related to training, and if new videos are found, it adds links to the Google Sheet.

GoCanvas + YouTube + Slack: When a new submission is received in GoCanvas (e.g., a failed inspection report), search YouTube for videos related to the reported failures and equipment maintenance. Post those videos to a designated Slack channel for the safety team.
