Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Google Chat and Bitly integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Google Chat and Bitly (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Google Chat and Bitly

Google Chat + Bitly + Google Sheets: Track popular links shared in Google Chat by logging the sharer and logging clicks in a Google Sheet. When a new message with a link is posted in Google Chat, shorten the link via Bitly, then log the shortened link and the user who sent it to Google Sheets.

X (Twitter) + Bitly + Google Chat: When a Bitly link shared on X (Twitter) receives a certain amount of clicks, a celebratory message will be sent to Google Chat. This starts by searching for a post that contains a Bitly link on X (Twitter). Then it gets the shortened Bitlink details, and if the click threshold is met, it posts a celebratory message to Google Chat.
