Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Google contacts and Smartsheet integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Google contacts and Smartsheet (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Google contacts and Smartsheet
Google Contacts + Smartsheet + Slack: When a new contact is added to Google Contacts, a new row is automatically created in Smartsheet to track the contact. A Slack message is then sent to the sales channel to alert them of the new contact.
Smartsheet + Google Contacts + Google Sheets: When a row in a Smartsheet is updated, the automation checks if a corresponding contact exists in Google Contacts. If it doesn't, a new contact is created; otherwise, the existing contact is updated. Finally, the details of the update are logged in a Google Sheet.
