Depending on your setup, data should flow between Google docs and Wave (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Google docs and Wave

Google Docs + Wave + Slack: When a new document is created in Google Docs (acting as a contract), the automation creates an invoice in Wave based on the document's content. Then, a message containing the invoice details is sent to a specified Slack channel.

Wave + Google Sheets + Google Docs: When a new invoice is created in Wave, the automation adds a row to a Google Sheet to track the invoice details. Then, after a set number of new invoices, create a summary report in a new Google Docs document. The Google Docs document will contain a summary of all invoices.
