Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Harvest, Reddit, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Harvest and Reddit integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Harvest and Reddit (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Harvest and Reddit
Harvest + Reddit + Slack: When a Harvest timer has been running for a specified duration indicating that project time may exceed budget, a post is submitted to Reddit to find expert help. Subsequently, a Slack message alerts the team about the Reddit post and the potential budget overrun.
Reddit + Harvest + Google Sheets: Tracks trending topics related to project work on Reddit using a search query, starts a timer in Harvest to log time spent researching, and compiles the insights, along with the Harvest time entry details, in Google Sheets for reporting and analysis.
