Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Harvest, Vapi, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Harvest and Vapi integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Harvest and Vapi (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Harvest and Vapi
Harvest + Vapi + Slack: When a new time entry is created in Harvest, trigger a Vapi action to create an outbound phone call. Upon completion of the call, send a message to a designated Slack channel containing a call summary and the logged Harvest time.
Vapi + Harvest + Google Sheets: When a call is created via Vapi, a timer is started in Harvest. Once the call ends, the timer stops in Harvest, and the call details along with the Harvest time entry are added as a new row in a Google Sheet for reporting.
