Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Hive, Mixpanel, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Hive and Mixpanel integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Hive and Mixpanel (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Hive and Mixpanel

Hive + Mixpanel + Slack: When a task is completed in Hive (Trigger), Mixpanel (Action) will be used to track event, which will be used to check user engagement and subsequently, a Slack message (Action) will be sent to a designated channel if there is a correlation between task completion and decreased engagement.

Mixpanel + Hive + Jira: When a new event is tracked in Mixpanel (Trigger), indicating a potential bug, a new task is created in Hive (Action) to manage the bug resolution. If the Hive task requires a Jira ticket, then an issue is created in Jira (Action) to track the bug fix process.
