Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Hive, PagerDuty, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Hive and PagerDuty integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Hive and PagerDuty (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Hive and PagerDuty

Hive + PagerDuty + Slack: When a new or updated action is created in Hive, and it requires immediate attention, an incident is triggered in PagerDuty, notifying the on-call team via a Slack channel message.

PagerDuty + Hive + Microsoft Teams: When a PagerDuty incident is resolved, a summary action is created in Hive and a message containing details of the resolved incident is posted to a Microsoft Teams channel.
