Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Hive, Zapier, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Hive and Zapier integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Hive and Zapier (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Hive and Zapier

Hive + Zapier + Slack: When a Hive project is completed (detected as an updated action via Zapier), post a summary message to a designated Slack channel, keeping the team informed of project progress.

Hive + Zapier + Google Sheets: Whenever a task is created or updated in Hive, Zapier sends the relevant task completion data (e.g., task name, status, due date) to a specified Google Sheet, providing a centralized progress tracking system.
