Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Jira, Shippo, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Jira and Shippo integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Jira and Shippo (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Jira and Shippo
Jira + Shippo + Slack: When an issue is updated in Jira (specifically, when a bug fix is deployed), retrieve the issue reporter's information, create a shipping order in Shippo to send swag to the reporter, and notify the team in Slack about the shipment.
Jira + Shippo + Google Sheets: When a new shipping label is created in Shippo, get the order details and update a Google Sheet to track shipping costs associated with the Jira project mentioned in the order details. This allows for project-based budget monitoring.
