Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Monster API, Creatomate, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Monster API and Creatomate integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Monster API and Creatomate (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Monster API and Creatomate

Monster API + Creatomate + Slack: When a new monster is added to the Monster API, Creatomate renders a video showcasing the new monster using a predefined template. Once the video is rendered, a message containing the video link is sent to a dedicated Slack channel.

Monster API + Creatomate + Google Sheets: Fetch monster data from the Monster API and generate videos using Creatomate's 'Render from JSON' action. Store the video render status and related metrics (e.g., render time, video URL) in a Google Sheet for tracking and analysis.
