Depending on your setup, data should flow between Motion and Open Weather (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Motion and Open Weather

Open Weather + Motion + Google Calendar: This automation checks the weather forecast from Open Weather. If the forecast is suitable (e.g., not raining), Motion creates a task. This task is then added to Google Calendar as an event to schedule outdoor shoots.

Open Weather + Motion + Slack: When Open Weather detects rain in the forecast, Motion reschedules any existing outdoor activity tasks. Slack then notifies the team about the rescheduling due to weather conditions.
