Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Motion, Sendgrid, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Motion and Sendgrid integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Motion and Sendgrid (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Motion and Sendgrid

Motion + Sendgrid + Google Calendar: When a new task is created in Motion, Sendgrid sends an email to a designated address to schedule a meeting. Once scheduled, Google Calendar creates an event to block out time.

Sendgrid + Motion + Slack: When Sendgrid confirms an email has been sent (using contact lists as a trigger), Motion updates the project status of a specific task. Slack then notifies the team in a designated channel about the updated project status.
