Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Netlify, Captions, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Netlify and Captions integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Netlify and Captions (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Netlify and Captions

Netlify + Captions + Slack: When a new Netlify deploy succeeds, check if it contains video files. If it does, submit those videos to Captions for processing and then notify a Slack channel when the captions are ready.

Netlify + Captions + Google Drive: When a new Netlify site is deployed, check if it contains video content. If video content is found, generate captions using Captions. Then, store the generated captions in a specified Google Drive folder.
