Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Netlify, Open Weather, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Netlify and Open Weather integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Netlify and Open Weather (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Netlify and Open Weather

Netlify + Open Weather + Slack: When a Netlify deployment fails, retrieve the current weather conditions at the deployment server's location using Open Weather. Then, send a Slack message to a specified channel with details about the deployment failure and the current weather conditions, providing context for the failure.

Open Weather + Netlify + Slack: Use Open Weather to retrieve a weather forecast. Trigger a Netlify deploy to update a static site with the forecast data (this step would likely require some custom scripting/API calls within the site to fetch the forecast data pushed from this flow). Finally, send a Slack message confirming the site update with the latest forecast to a specified channel.
