Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Okta, SmartSuite, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Okta and SmartSuite integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Okta and SmartSuite (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Okta and SmartSuite
Okta + SmartSuite + Slack: When a new user is added to Okta, a new record containing the user's information is created in SmartSuite. Subsequently, a message is sent to a specified Slack channel to notify the team about the new user.
SmartSuite + Okta + Google Sheets: When a record in SmartSuite is updated, specifically when it reaches a certain stage, the workflow automatically gets the user's details. It then updates the user's profile in Okta and logs the event, including the user's information and the stage reached, in a Google Sheet.
