Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Open Weather and Okta integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Open Weather and Okta (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Open Weather and Okta

Okta + Open Weather + Slack: When a new Okta event occurs, such as a login, get the current weather for the location associated with the event. If the weather is severe (e.g., thunderstorm, blizzard), send a direct message to the user via Slack, alerting them of the severe weather at their login location.

Okta + Open Weather + Google Calendar: When a new or modified event is created in Google Calendar, retrieve Okta user details and get the forecast weather for the next day using geocoding based on user location. Update the Google Calendar event to include the weather forecast in the event description.
