Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Open Weather and Simplesat integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Open Weather and Simplesat (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Open Weather and Simplesat
Open Weather + Simplesat + Slack: This automation retrieves the daily weather forecast from Open Weather. If the weather conditions meet specific criteria (e.g., rain, snow), it triggers a Simplesat survey asking employees if they prefer to work from home. The survey results are then posted to a designated Slack channel for team awareness and decision-making.
Simplesat + Open Weather + Google Sheets: When a new response is submitted in Simplesat, this automation retrieves the current weather conditions from Open Weather. It then records the feedback from Simplesat, along with the weather data at the time of submission, and stores all the information in a Google Sheet for analysis and record-keeping.
