Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring PagerDuty, Captions, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the PagerDuty and Captions integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between PagerDuty and Captions (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect PagerDuty and Captions

PagerDuty + Captions + Slack: When a new incident is created or updated in PagerDuty, a request is submitted to Captions to generate a video summary. Once the video generation is complete (this part isn't possible with the available triggers and actions), a message with a link to the video is sent to a specified Slack channel.

Captions + PagerDuty + Google Sheets: When a video translation request is submitted to Captions, its status is checked. If the status indicates a failure, an incident is triggered in PagerDuty. The status of the video translation request is also saved to Google Sheets.
