Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring PagerDuty, Square, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the PagerDuty and Square integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between PagerDuty and Square (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect PagerDuty and Square

PagerDuty + Square + Slack: When a new or updated critical incident is created in PagerDuty, check for related Square transactions using the incident details. If found, send a Slack message to a dedicated channel with details of the incident and impacted Square transactions.

Square + Google Sheets + PagerDuty: When new events occur in Square, log transaction details to a Google Sheet. If certain threshold limits are exceeded (e.g., number of failed transactions), trigger a new incident in PagerDuty to alert the operations team.
