Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Slack, Google Calendar, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Slack and Google Calendar integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Slack and Google Calendar (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Slack and Google Calendar

Slack + Google Calendar + Zoom: When a new message is posted to a Slack channel, create a corresponding event in Google Calendar, and then schedule a Zoom meeting for that event. The Google Calendar event details, including the Zoom meeting link, are then posted back to the original Slack channel.

Google Calendar + Google Sheets + Slack: When a new event is added to Google Calendar, log the event details in a Google Sheet. Then, send a daily summary of the scheduled meetings from the Google Sheet to a designated Slack channel.
