In the workspace, click the “Create New Scenario” button.

Add the first node – a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Smartsheet, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Smartsheet or Google Programmable Search Engine will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Smartsheet or Google Programmable Search Engine, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Select the Smartsheet node from the app selection panel on the right.

After configuring Smartsheet, Google Programmable Search Engine, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Smartsheet and Google Programmable Search Engine integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Smartsheet and Google Programmable Search Engine (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Google Programmable Search Engine + Smartsheet + Slack: When a new search result matching specific keywords is found via the Google Programmable Search Engine, the data is added to a Smartsheet. Then, a notification is sent to a designated Slack channel to inform the team about the new competitor mention.
Google Programmable Search Engine + Smartsheet + Google Sheets: This automation queries Google Programmable Search Engine and saves the search results to a Smartsheet sheet. It then summarizes the data from the Smartsheet into a Google Sheet for reporting and analysis.
