Partner Interview: Insights From The No-Code Summit in Paris

What happens when software development and automation becomes accessible to everyone? At the No-Code Summit in Paris this October, automation experts showed how organizations are building complex systems in months instead of years using no-code/low-code tools. 

Dimitris Goudis, an automation expert running the 3Nuggets agency, witnessed firsthand how this transformation is reshaping industries – from airport systems preparing for the Olympics to manufacturing ERPs integrating with hundreds of vendors. 

In this interview, he joins George Miloradovich, a writer & automation researcher, to share key insights from the summit and what Latenode has to do with the new standards for modern automation.

The Summit Experience

‍George Miloradovich: This October, you took part in the No-Code summit in Paris, one of the biggest events in the field of automation and no-code solutions. The summit became a hub for exchanging knowledge, discussing future perspectives and exploring opportunities. You were also planning to present your solution built on Latenode to analyze 4,000 landing pages and 16,000 ad combinations. Could you share your experience?

Dimitris Goudis: First of all, we weren't allowed to give presentations of our cases – it was a last-minute update. However, the whole summit was an amazing event, because it was targeted at the latest no-code and low-code platforms. It was great talking with representatives of different apps I'm using, or thinking to use, or wanted to explore someday. 

More than 3,000 no-code enthusiasts and experts representing over 1,600 companies came to the summit. During the two days, there were multiple presentations across the building in different rooms, showing case studies that were impressive. 

There was a French company that presented how they built an automated system for a Paris airport, preparing for the Olympic Games. The airport expected a high volume due to the Olympic Games, so, they structured a new database system from scratch, running on no-code apps, in three months. It was a huge project! 

Meeting people and sharing ideas was an important part of attending the summit. You know, it's not so easy to have such a helpful event in your city.

Key Takeaways and Insights

George Miloradovich: Could you share the main takeaways you took from the summit? Was there anything that changed your perception on the future of no-code?

Dimitris Goudis: First of all, I saw that a lot of companies on the summit spoke about the investment publicly. Their investors clearly backed them. It shows that these companies don't come to an end right away. They are growing, and they’ll keep growing. So this makes me feel secure when I'm adding their tools to my stack. 

The second thing is, you know, I'm running 3Nuggets 100% remotely. Meeting people in person for even a short consultation or anything like that is quite uncommon – I forgot it. Live interaction with humans is crucial, and I realize that.

George Miloradovich: Which no-code tools at the summit inspired you the most? Which ones do you think have potential to change the industry?

Dimitris Goudis: Xano was impressive. They had many case studies. They were one of the big sponsors, and showed very good apps made on their platform. Their group of consultants was powerful. I think that meeting with the people who run such platforms and talking directly to the CEOs – it can change the way you think about the tools, because you can discuss the limitations and challenges you face.

George Miloradovich: Could you tell me more about what inspired you the most in terms of human interactions?

Dimitris Goudis: Someone came to us and asked, 'What is this workflow? What are you doing here?' We explained that we were building a scenario for data enrichment that starts with a form submission. We collect all the data and use AI to prepare a personalized email.

We made this workflow in 15 minutes using our own accounts and subscriptions to third-party tools, just for the presentation. Seeing their surprised and delighted reactions – it’s such a rewarding experience for us!

His reaction was immediate: 'Wow, I want it!' Starting with just one email address, the system can provide detailed information: 

  • The person’s name and title;
  • LinkedIn profile;
  • Company details;
  • Public reviews;
  • Office locations;
  • Number of employees;
  • Contact phone numbers;

I remember a sales lead being shocked that this automation could deliver such detailed insights about a company. Here is the screenshot:

Automation Challenges and Solutions 

George Miloradovich: Speaking of automation, what challenges seemed most pressing to you based on these discussions? How do you see overcoming them on Latenode?

Dimitris Goudis: 

On the summit, I was talking to a client who needed a ‘human-in-the-loop’ solution. They had hundreds of partners outside their company, but giving them access to internal systems was costly because each user required a separate license. The client needed a way to allow these partners to access specific parts of the system, so they could make simple approve/disapprove decisions. Sounds straightforward, right?

I and Oleg (Latenode co-founder & CTO) presented this scenario at the summit. At first, he didn't realize how much of a competitive advantage it could give over other applications. When I saw it, I thought, "Wow, this is amazing!" Using webhooks and JavaScript nodes, we built a prototype. That same day, I tested it for this client, and recorded a demo video. It took just 30 minutes – and it worked flawlessly!

Latenode vs Other Platforms 

George Miloradovich: How did these things reinforce your opinion about Latenode? What aspects might have the biggest impact on the market?

Dimitris Goudis: In my view, the features I mentioned have a big impact on the market, because they are not included in Make or other tools. However, there are several other features: 

  1. The ability to have multiple triggers in the same scenario – this is totally useful for someone building automation. On Make, for example, we need to have one trigger per scenario, which is not very fun for us at 3Nuggets.
  2. The option to connect branches with each other, so we're not losing the flexibility. 
  3. One more thing is the nested connection with AI tools. We don't need to search for API keys by ourselves and make new subscriptions, because everything is available right on Latenode.
  4. There's also customer support. For me as a consultant, the support is crucial. Latenode has a Forum community where I often see nice content from experts. The support service gives up-to-date advice, with Ryan, customer success manager, worth an army. Even when I have trouble with a feature, he gives me a solution to move forward.

3Nuggets Vision and Mission Insights

George Miloradovich: How did this summit change your vision for 3Nuggets and its mission?

Dimitris Goudis: Changed it 180 degrees! You know, it changed the way I was thinking about summits and events in general. It flagged that I have to do more investment in personal branding and the agency's brand. It was totally clear how important talking to the audience is – something I wasn’t used to doing. 

I'm not the guy who is posting all the time, but now after the summit, I've created these processes in my day-to-day schedule. I also spend more time exploring the capabilities of tools. For example, I have a session once per week where I just explore what is available on Latenode and what I can build, just for inspiration. I spend a lot of time reading community posts every day, learning from other consultants' cases.

Industries and Niches at the No-Code Summit

George Miloradovich: What specific industries and niches of automation were presented at the summit?

Dimitris Goudis: There isn’t a specific domain – it’s quite a variety. 

At the summit, I talked about enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for manufacturing and commercial use cases, as well as the idea of integrating everything with everything. For instance, we can make your bank account talk to your sales system to track payments and cash flow. 

Or, in just a few hours, we can integrate your ERP with your vendors and B2B clients. This kind of integration brings scalability to the top. That’s the core value we highlight to prospects: using No-Code Tools, we give businesses the power to scale and grow without traditional constraints.

I don’t think businesses will continue to operate traditionally. Being "traditional" means moving one step per year, which is way too slow. Now, imagine this: we can build an ERP for manufacturers, fully integrated with all their B2B clients and custom connections, in just one month. At the same time, classic software companies would need years to deliver a similar project.

Dimitris Goudis: Automation is critical for everything. I’m aware that some software companies prefer relying on their hardcore developers, but even they use automation tools to streamline workflows and speed up solutions. Why?
