How to connect Bubble and Databricks

Create a New Scenario to Connect Bubble and Databricks

In the workspace, click the β€œCreate New Scenario” button.

Add the First Step

Add the first node – a trigger that will initiate the scenario when it receives the required event. Triggers can be scheduled, called by a Bubble, triggered by another scenario, or executed manually (for testing purposes). In most cases, Bubble or Databricks will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Bubble or Databricks, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Add the Bubble Node

Select the Bubble node from the app selection panel on the right.

Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Bubble, Databricks, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Bubble and Databricks integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Bubble and Databricks (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Bubble and Databricks

Bubble + Databricks + Slack: When a new user signs up in Bubble, the user data is sent to Databricks to update user behavior analytics. If usage spikes are detected in Databricks through SQL queries, a notification is sent to a designated Slack channel to alert the team.

Databricks + Bubble + Airtable: Databricks runs a SQL query to analyze data insights. Based on the query results, product features in Bubble are updated, and the update event is logged in Airtable for tracking and auditing purposes.
