Depending on your setup, data should flow between Google Ads and Google Sheets (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Google Ads and Google Sheets

Google Ads + Google Sheets + Slack: Monitor Google Ads campaigns and send Slack notifications when the spend for a campaign exceeds a defined budget. The automation tracks campaign spend using the Google Ads 'Get Campaign' action, compares it to a budget defined in Google Sheets, and sends a Slack message using 'Send Public Channel Message' if the budget is exceeded.

Google Sheets + Google Analytics + Google Ads: Analyze Google Analytics report data stored in Google Sheets and update Google Ads bids accordingly. This flow uses 'New Updates (Instant)' in Google Sheets to trigger the workflow when the analytics data is updated, then runs a report in Google Analytics, and finally updates bids in Google Ads (simulated by using 'Search Campaigns').
