Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Jira, Circle, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Jira and Circle integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Jira and Circle (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Jira and Circle
Jira + Circle + Slack: When a Jira issue is updated (specifically, when it's resolved, which updates the issue), a celebratory message is posted in a specified Circle community and also sent to a designated Slack channel.
Circle + Jira + Google Sheets: When a new member joins a Circle community, the automation creates an entry in a Google Sheet, tracking their details and initial community contributions. A Jira task is created and linked in the Google Sheet to manage onboarding or initial engagement with the new member.
