Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Jira, FreshBooks, and any additional nodes, donโt forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking โRun onceโ and triggering an event to check if the Jira and FreshBooks integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Jira and FreshBooks (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Jira and FreshBooks
Jira + FreshBooks + Slack: When a Jira issue is transitioned (e.g., resolved), an invoice is created in FreshBooks for the time logged against that issue. A Slack message is then sent to notify the relevant team channel about the new invoice.
FreshBooks + Jira + Google Sheets: When a new time entry is logged in FreshBooks, the details are retrieved and added to a designated Google Sheet, along with relevant Jira task information. This provides a consolidated report of time spent on Jira tasks.
