Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring PagerDuty, Jira, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the PagerDuty and Jira integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between PagerDuty and Jira (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect PagerDuty and Jira

PagerDuty + Jira + Slack: When a new incident is created or an existing incident is updated in PagerDuty, a corresponding Jira issue is created. The on-call team is then notified via a Slack channel message.

Jira + PagerDuty + Microsoft Teams: When a new issue is created in Jira, PagerDuty is triggered to add an event. A notification is sent to a Microsoft Teams channel to inform the relevant teams.
