Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Render, Strava, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Render and Strava integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Render and Strava (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Render and Strava

Strava + Render + Google Sheets: When a new activity is logged on Strava, trigger a website deployment on Render. Log the deployment details, such as deploy ID and start time, in a Google Sheet for tracking purposes.

Render + Strava + Slack: When a Render deployment completes, send a message to a Slack channel. Then, use Strava to encourage the user to be physically active and post an inspirational workout message to the same Slack channel.
