Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Slack, Google tasks, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking β€œRun once” and triggering an event to check if the Slack and Google tasks integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Slack and Google tasks (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Slack and Google tasks

Slack + Google Tasks + Google Calendar: When a new message is posted to a Slack channel, a new task is created in Google Tasks. A corresponding event with a deadline is then created in Google Calendar.

Google Tasks + Slack + Google Sheets: When a task is completed in Google Tasks, a daily summary is sent to Slack, and the completed task is logged in Google Sheets.
