Latenode

Automatically generate Bitly links for new Google Drive files

This Latenode automation helps users streamline sharing files from a specific Google Drive folder by automatically creating short Bitly links for new files added to that folder.

When a new file is added to the designated Google Drive folder, the automation will fetch the file's link and create a shortened Bitly URL, which can then be easily shared. This reduces the manual effort required to shorten and share Google Drive file links, making it more efficient to distribute content from that folder.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runs in credits: 1 credit = 30 seconds of processing. Minimum charge per run depends on your plan. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

How it works

1
Trigger

Monitor Google Drive Folder

The automation monitors a designated Google Drive folder for any new files that are added.

2
Action

Fetch File Link

When a new file is detected, the automation fetches the public sharing link for that file from Google Drive.

3
Action

Create Bitly Link

The automation then uses the Bitly API to create a shortened URL for the Google Drive file link.

4
Action

Save Bitly Link

The shortened Bitly link is saved to the user's Bitly account, ready to be shared.

Setup guide

1

Connect Google Drive

Add a Google Drive credential in the Latenode Credentials panel by authenticating with your Google account. This allows the automation to access your Google Drive files.

2

Connect Bitly

Add a Bitly credential in the Latenode Credentials panel by authenticating with your Bitly account. This allows the automation to create shortened URLs in your Bitly account.

3

Specify Google Drive Folder

In the Google Drive node settings, select the specific folder you want to monitor for new files. You can optionally include files from subfolders as well.

4

Map File Link to Bitly

In the Bitly node settings, map the Google Drive file link output from the previous node to the input field for the Bitly 'Create Bitlink' action. This will generate a shortened URL for each new file added to the specified Google Drive folder.

5

Save Bitly Link

Configure the Bitly node to store the generated short URL in a Latenode output variable. This allows you to access and use the shortened links after the automation runs.

Requirements

A Google Drive account with access to the specific folder containing files to be shared
A Bitly account with API access to create shortened URLs
Latenode workspace set up with the Google Drive and Bitly integrations

Translate Telegram messages to any language via Google Translate

This automation workflow allows users to monitor a Telegram chat or channel, automatically detect new messages, translate the text into a target language using Google Translate, and then send the translated version back to the same Telegram chat or save it to a designated destination. This integration between Telegram and Google Translate streamlines cross-language communication, making it easier for users to stay connected and understand content shared in different languages. The automation simplifies the process of translating messages, saving time and effort for users who need to communicate across language barriers.
