Setup guide

Add Discord credential in Latenode Credentials

Add your Discord bot token as a credential in the Latenode Credentials panel. This allows the automation to authenticate with your Discord server and access the channel.

Configure Google Translate API credential in Latenode Credentials

Add your Google Cloud Translate API key as a credential in the Latenode Credentials panel. This enables the automation to use the Google Translate API for language detection and translation.

Set up Discord channel to monitor in node settings

In the Latenode visual builder, add a Discord Bot node and configure it to monitor the specific Discord channel you want to translate messages from.

Configure translation settings in node settings

In the Latenode visual builder, configure the Google Translate node with the target language you want to translate messages to. You can also specify whether to post the translated messages back to the same or a different Discord channel.

Map message fields in node settings

In the Latenode visual builder, map the relevant message fields (e.g. content, author, timestamp) from the Discord node to the Google Translate node and the output Discord node.

Requirements

A Discord bot application with the necessary permissions to read messages, translate text, and post messages in the target channel(s)
A Google Cloud account with the Translate API enabled and a valid API key
The target language for translation (e.g., English, Spanish, French, etc.)
The Discord channel ID(s) to monitor for new messages
