Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Clockify, Grist, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Clockify and Grist integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Clockify and Grist (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Clockify and Grist

Clockify + Grist + Slack: When a new time entry is created in Clockify, the automation checks if the total time spent on the project exceeds the budget defined in Grist. If the budget is exceeded, a notification is sent to a designated Slack channel.

Grist + Clockify + Google Calendar: When a record is created or updated in Grist, the automation retrieves the total time logged for the associated project in Clockify. It then creates a Google Calendar event with the project details and the estimated duration based on the logged time, to plan future projects.
