In most cases, Google Chat or Microsoft SQL Server will be your first step. To do this, click "Choose an app," find Google Chat or Microsoft SQL Server, and select the appropriate trigger to start the scenario.

Select the Google Chat node from the app selection panel on the right.

After configuring Google Chat, Microsoft SQL Server, and any additional nodes, donβt forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Run the scenario by clicking βRun onceβ and triggering an event to check if the Google Chat and Microsoft SQL Server integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Google Chat and Microsoft SQL Server (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Google Chat + Jira + Microsoft SQL Server: When a new message is posted in Google Chat, the flow checks if it contains a specific keyword indicating a critical alert. If it does, a new issue is created in Jira to track the alert, and the relevant information from the chat message is also inserted into a Microsoft SQL Server table for logging and analysis.
Microsoft SQL Server + Google Chat + PagerDuty: When a new or updated row matching a custom query that identifies a database error is detected in Microsoft SQL Server, a message is sent to a Google Chat channel to alert the team. Simultaneously, a new incident is triggered in PagerDuty to ensure immediate attention to the critical database issue.
