Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring GitLab, Shippo, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the GitLab and Shippo integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between GitLab and Shippo (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect GitLab and Shippo

GitLab + Shippo + Slack: When a new tag is created in GitLab (indicating a release or deployment), create an order in Shippo to send swag, then notify the team in a Slack channel.

GitLab + Shippo + Google Sheets: When a new job event occurs in GitLab (e.g., a build or test run associated with a milestone), create an order in Shippo. Then update a Google Sheet with shipping cost data associated with the GitLab project milestones.
