Public evidence so far points to an imminent release rather than a completed launch. Attendee reports said CTO Feifei Li mentioned Qwen4 arriving “next week,” while a slide shown during the session used the softer wording “Qwen4 Series Coming Soon.” Alibaba’s own event recap also surfaced four names tied to the lineup: Qwen4-Max, Qwen4-Plus, Qwen4-Flash, and Qwen4-27B.
What is still missing matters more than the names. Alibaba has not confirmed pricing, benchmarks, license terms, parameter details, API docs, or whether any Qwen4 weights will be released for download. For now, Qwen4 looks close, but not officially available.
