DeepSeek adds Creator Mode to Harness for chat-built plugins

Agent teams can prototype Harness extensions without starting from plugin code. Treat the output as executable software: inspect permissions, test behavior, and limit host access before deployment.

DeepSeek adds Creator Mode to Harness for chat-built plugins

DeepSeek added Creator Mode to DeepSeek Harness, letting users build and install plugins through chat inside its open-source agent environment.

The DeepSeek Harness page shows the full loop: Creator Mode builds a Pomodoro timer, installs it through the plugin manager, then checks its live state. Harness is available in public preview worldwide.

Creator Mode is an agent preset rather than a separate model or app. The Harness documentation says it adds runtime inspection, plugin management, and authoring guidance.

For builders, natural-language plugin creation lowers the barrier to extending tools, skills, and interfaces. It also makes review more important: generated plugins should be tested and their access checked before they touch production workflows or credentials.

When models and APIs shift keep the workflow running
