Meta expands Muse to commerce and glasses, teases 2027 VR

Agent workflows can extend from desktop apps into shopping and AI glasses. Build around permission gates and staged availability rather than assuming every Muse connector or device is ready.

Meta expands Muse to commerce and glasses, teases 2027 VR

Meta expanded Muse into email, commerce and smart glasses at Meta Connect 2026, while unveiling a pocket-sized Muse Charm and new wearable hardware in its Connect announcement.

Muse for Mac can now operate permitted apps and continue queued work unattended. Meta also listed Shop Pay and PayPal support for commerce workflows. On Meta AI glasses, Muse will be able to act on objects in the wearer’s view, though that integration is still due in the coming months. The new Ray-Ban lineup includes camera-free Audio models.

Meta VR Glasses are planned for spring 2027 at $1,299.99. They weigh about 100 grams by shifting compute and battery hardware into a tethered puck.

For builders, Meta Muse is becoming a broader agent surface, but permissions, payment confirmation and device availability still need explicit checks before these workflows can be treated as dependable.
