OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Financial Services on September 10, a finance-specific ChatGPT Work/Enterprise offering built around GPT-6 Astra for investment banking and equity research teams.
According to the OpenAI announcement, the product packages selected OpenAI-hosted datasets from Daloopa, PitchBook Essentials, Crunchbase and LSEG News, with citations intended to trace claims and figures back to supporting tables and passages. OpenAI also lists the enterprise controls banks usually expect, including SAML SSO, SCIM, role-based access, configurable retention, supported log exports through its compliance platform, and separate workspaces as information barriers.
What remains unclear is procurement and rollout. OpenAI has not published public pricing, minimum deployment size, detailed eligibility criteria or geography specifics, and VentureBeat reports that evaluation setup details are also thin.
