OpenAI models come to Google Cloud Model Garden in private preview

This gives GCP customers a new procurement and billing path for OpenAI models inside Google’s stack. For builders, it makes multi-model routing and vendor controls more relevant while the rollout is still limited to private preview.

OpenAI models come to Google Cloud Model Garden in private preview

OpenAI and Google Cloud announced on October 21, 2026 that OpenAI models and Codex workflows are being added to Google Cloud’s Model Garden, with private preview live now for select enterprise customers.

Google Cloud said the first rollout includes GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna. OpenAI said general availability is planned in the coming weeks. Customers will be able to access the models through Google Cloud Marketplace, apply existing GCP spend commitments, and keep usage on their Google Cloud bill, according to the OpenAI announcement.

Both companies also said OpenAI models are coming soon to Google Antigravity and Gemini Agent. For teams already building inside Google’s stack, that adds another route for multi-model deployments while preview access remains limited.
