On October 11, Vivix opened preview access to Vivix W1, a video generation API the company is positioning for real-time and interactive use cases. Vivix says W1 can generate clips from text, voice, motion, and other inputs, though availability is still limited and users are directed to W credit packs.
The launch includes promotional pricing of $0.003 per output second through October 31, 2026. Vivix is also exposing three API variants — vivix-w1, vivix-w1-fast, and vivix-w1-ultrafast — which its docs describe as the same video quality with different speed and credit cost tradeoffs. Reference image and audio surcharges are also waived during the promo window.
For teams testing video generation in product flows, the immediate draw is low-cost experimentation rather than proven production readiness. W1 may be cheap enough to benchmark in batch or automated pipelines, but launch-day speed and quality claims are still coming from Vivix, and preview status means access and consistency could change as usage grows.
