Get Slack notifications for new DocSend document visits

This automation allows teams to stay informed and quickly follow up on new visits to their DocSend documents. Whenever a new visitor is recorded on a DocSend document, the system automatically sends a message to a specific Slack channel.

This keeps the team up-to-date on engagement with their shared documents and enables quick responses to new leads or questions from viewers. The integration between DocSend and Slack streamlines collaboration and ensures the sales or support teams are notified in real-time about document activity.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runs in credits: 1 credit = 30 seconds of processing. Minimum charge per run depends on your plan. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

How it works

1
Trigger

New visit recorded on a DocSend document

Whenever a new visitor is recorded on a DocSend document, the system automatically detects this event.

2
Logic

Prepare Slack notification message

The system gathers relevant information about the new document visit, such as the visitor details and the document being viewed, and formats this data into a Slack notification message.

3
Action

Send Slack notification

The prepared Slack notification message is then sent to a specific Slack channel, keeping the team informed about the new document activity and enabling quick follow-ups on the new lead or questions from the viewer.

Setup guide

1

Add DocSend Credential

In the Latenode Credentials panel, add a new credential for DocSend. Enter your DocSend API key to authenticate the integration.

2

Configure Slack Channel

In the Latenode builder, add a Slack node to your workflow. Configure the node to send messages to a specific Slack channel. You can select the channel from the dropdown or enter the channel name manually.

3

Connect DocSend to Slack

In the Latenode builder, add a DocSend node to your workflow. Configure the node to listen for new visits on a specific DocSend document. Map the relevant visit data (e.g. visitor name, email, timestamp) to the inputs of the Slack node you configured earlier.

4

Test the Integration

Save your workflow and trigger a manual run. Verify that a new visit on the DocSend document triggers a message in the configured Slack channel.

5

Schedule Recurring Checks (Optional)

If you want to continuously monitor the DocSend document for new visits, you can add a Scheduler node to your workflow. Configure the Scheduler to run the DocSend-to-Slack integration on a recurring schedule (e.g. every 15 minutes).

Requirements

Slack workspace and channel access to post messages
DocSend API key or OAuth credentials to fetch visitor data
Configuration to map DocSend documents to Slack channels
Error monitoring to ensure new visits are reliably posted to Slack
