Automatically log Slack feedback as Productboard notes

This Latenode automation helps teams stay on top of product feedback and customer conversations by automatically creating Productboard notes for new messages posted to a specific Slack channel.

By bridging the gap between collaboration tools and product management software, this workflow ensures that valuable insights are captured and accessible to the entire product team. The automation monitors the designated Slack channel, extracts key details from new messages, and logs them as structured notes in Productboard. This streamlines the feedback collection process, enabling product managers to better understand user needs and incorporate them into their roadmap planning.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runs in credits: 1 credit = 30 seconds of processing. Minimum charge per run depends on your plan. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

  • Extracts key details from new messages
  • Automatically creates Productboard notes with the extracted data
  • Consolidates customer feedback and insights in Productboard
  • Enables product teams to better understand user needs and update roadmaps

How it works

1
Trigger

Monitor Slack Channel

The automation monitors a designated Slack channel for new messages. Whenever a new message is posted in this channel, the system triggers the next steps to capture the feedback.

2
Logic

Extract Key Details

The automation extracts key details from the new Slack message, including the message text, author, and timestamp. This structured data is then prepared for logging in Productboard.

3
Action

Log Feedback in Productboard

The extracted feedback details are automatically logged as a new note in the Productboard platform. This ensures the valuable insights from team collaboration are captured in the central product management system, enabling the product team to better understand user needs and incorporate them into their roadmap planning.
