Save and Activate the Scenario

After configuring Box, Grist, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.

Test the Scenario

Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Box and Grist integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Box and Grist (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.

Most powerful ways to connect Box and Grist

Box + Grist + Slack: When a new file is added to a specified folder in Box, the automation updates a specified Grist sheet by creating a new record, then sends a message to a Slack channel notifying the team of the new file.

Grist + Box + Google Sheets: When a record is created or updated in Grist, back up the updated record to a specified folder in Box as a text file. Then, log the change in Google Sheets by adding a new row for audit purposes.
