Save and Activate the Scenario
After configuring Jibble, Slack, and any additional nodes, don’t forget to save the scenario and click "Deploy." Activating the scenario ensures it will run automatically whenever the trigger node receives input or a condition is met. By default, all newly created scenarios are deactivated.
Test the Scenario
Run the scenario by clicking “Run once” and triggering an event to check if the Jibble and Slack integration works as expected. Depending on your setup, data should flow between Jibble and Slack (or vice versa). Easily troubleshoot the scenario by reviewing the execution history to identify and fix any issues.
Most powerful ways to connect Jibble and Slack
Jibble + Google Calendar + Slack: When a user clocks in or out in Jibble, an event is created or updated in Google Calendar to reflect their availability. A Slack message is then sent to a designated channel to notify the team of the user's status.
Jibble + Google Sheets + Slack: At the end of each week (this requires an external scheduler), a summary of Jibble timesheets is compiled. This summary is then added as a new row in a Google Sheet for payroll purposes and simultaneously sent to a Slack channel for review.
