Latenode

FX rates to spreadsheet

This template runs on a schedule, fetches JSON from the public Frankfurter and open.er-api endpoints in JavaScript, merges quotes, and writes a dated snapshot as a new row in Google Sheets. Those FX endpoints do not need an API key unless you switch to a paid provider. Connect Google Sheets and set the interval and timezone on the schedule.

How Latenode estimates time and cost

Latenode bills workflow runtime in CPU seconds. The first 10,000 CPU seconds are free each month, then usage follows pay-as-you-go CPU-second pricing. Plug-and-Play (PnP) AI nodes are billed separately—each PnP token is $1 USD, charged pay-as-you-go at vendor cost plus a small processing fee, with no API keys required.

What this template does

  • Stores a dated FX snapshot in Sheets you can chart
  • Runs on a schedule you set
  • Fetches public Frankfurter and open.er-api JSON from JavaScript
  • Needs no vendor API key for those public endpoints

How it works

1
Trigger

Run on a schedule

A schedule starts the scenario at the interval and timezone you set.

2
Logic

Fetch and merge quotes

JavaScript requests Frankfurter and open.er-api, merges pair rates, and handles HTTP errors.

3
Action

Append a Sheets row

Google Sheets writes date, pairs, values, and source notes as a new row.

Setup guide

1

Set the schedule

Add a schedule. Choose daily or market-hours timing in your timezone.

2

Write the fetch in JavaScript

Add a JavaScript node. Get JSON from the public Frankfurter and open.er-api URLs, merge quotes, and retry or skip on HTTP errors.

3

Connect Google Sheets

Add a Google Sheets connection. Add a new row on a tab with columns for date, pairs, values, and source.

Requirements

Outbound HTTPS from Latenode to the public FX endpoints
A Google Sheet with columns for date, pairs, values, and source
A schedule interval that matches how often you want snapshots

Automatically sync Airtable data to ExRt.Live for live exchange rates

This template watches an Airtable table for new or updated currency rows and posts those fields to ExRt.Live. Airtable starts the run. JavaScript maps pair, rate, and timestamp, then calls the ExRt.Live API with your key in that node. Connect Airtable, pick the base and table, and put the ExRt.Live API key in the JavaScript node.

Create a Pipeline deal from a new Discord channel message

Sales teams often miss leads buried in Discord conversations. This scenario captures every new message in a chosen Discord channel and creates a corresponding deal in Pipeline, using the message text as the deal description and the author's username as part of the deal name. Sales managers and business development reps can log inbound signals from team discussions directly into Pipeline CRM without manual data entry. The connection turns Discord into a lead source, so no opportunity slips through the cracks.
